The company Carrera was founded in the mid-60s in Verona, the city in which it developed the secret of its success: the ability to combine cutting-edge technologies to the artisan care of the product, to turn a delicate flower such as cotton into beautiful and durable products.

The company’s main production units are located in the most important raw material (cotton) producing countries, but Verona is, as it has always been, the design center, to ensure the high standards Italian tradition and experience is known for.

Carrera is a clothing “industry”. It controls the entire supply chain, from the producer to the final consumer: from the cotton fields in the countries of origin (many of which are owned) up to the product processing on the spot,  from distribution up to sale and promotion.

Carrera has a large selection of men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, from shirts to jackets, from pants to accessories and to footwear. The collections are designed for increasingly demanding customers and the values on which the company is based are universal and suitable for all ages: simplicity, dynamism, modernity, aesthetic taste and functionality.

Great importance is given to research and development of new materials: the jeans “Spintech”, for example, is the result of a two years research. It is a stretch denim fabric, which, thanks to an elastic fiber, covered entirely with cotton, gives the wearer a “100% cotton on your skin” feeling. An added value that makes the difference compared to most of the products on the market where the jeans stretch has a predominantly synthetic surface in contact with the skin itself. Spintech is not only used in light fabrics but also in velvet and gabardine.

Besides Spintech, great importance is given to the new Carrera Play. It’s a revolutionary trouser “inside fleece and outside jeans”. It represents a truly extraordinary rarity that combines the convenience and comfort of a fabric like fleece on the inside, with an element always in vogue as denim, in the external part.

Today Carrera employs, directly or indirectly, thousands of people, with an annual output of more than 5 million pieces. Carrera holds the highest market share in Italy in the sale of pants for men and has an efficient distribution system that effectively allows its products to be easily found on the market by the customer.

From the Carrera Points to wholesale distribution, from specialized to large retail markets, Carrera guarantees a widespread presence in Italy and abroad. In recent years, Carrera has been implementing a policy of internationalization with the opening of stores abroad, especially in Eastern Europe. A strategy by which the company limits are extended and which records an excellent response in the countries involved.

Carrera, both in Italy and abroad, employs a significant percentage of its turnover in communication using various media and strategies. In addition to traditional advertising methods such as posters, press and radio, Carrera has always had special attention for the world of sports, supporting both teams and sport events.

Attention is also given to the environment with significant investments made with the installation of photovoltaic systems on the roofs of the main production and administrative sites.

Last but not least, Carrera is attentive to education, calling several times a year on professional schools and institutes of international design to share experiences and know-how with the new generations of professionals in the clothing industry.
